Dubstep.NET Presents: Let Go by Kezwik ft. Mimi Page

Dubstep.NET Presents: Let Go by Kezwik ft. Mimi Page Our favorite track from Kezwik’s second release with Simplify Recordings, “Let Go” featuring the gorgeous voice of Mimi Page is an absolutely exquisite blend of utterly breath-taking vocals with rapturous, out-of-this-world synth design. Mimi’s breathy, ethereal voice serves as an ideal compliment to the young Kezwik’s filthy, mechanical style, a brilliant vocal dubstep combination with utterly limitless potential.

The first ever music video debut on Dubstep.NET, we’re proud to present The Killabits dark visualization of their Mart!n McFly “Yo!” remix. In their characteristically filthy, chiptune infused style, Toronto’s Bassmentality masterminds The Killabits have taken on local MC, Mart!n McFly’s track “Yo!”, turning it into a head-nodding, smile-inducing anthem complete with an array of heavy, incredibly aggressive drops, a highly variable drum arrangement, and some seriously gangster vocal stylings.

Kredo - “Agony” EP - Dubstep.NET Exclusive Release

Kredo - "Agony" EP

Article by Mitchell Buchanan

Pain and pleasure are often mixed together. There’s nothing quite like the pain of a bittersweet romance; getting through the pain of an injury can make us feel like the toughest person on the planet; sometimes we can laugh so hard it makes every inch of our body scream out in agony even though we just can’t stop. And Agony is, today, once again a source of exquisite pleasure. Kredo, a Swiss electro and dubstep producer, releases a free EP entitled “Agony” on April 24th. This six-track album features Kredo’s astonishing knowledge of instrumentation and melody creation, and spans multiple genres and energy levels throughout its highly elaborate 25-minute duration. Like his previous work, the tracks on this EP boast not only impressive musical craftsmanship – they also carry an emotional weight that, at some points, becomes almost overwhelmingly powerful. The power to elicit deep and powerful emotion from music is tricky business, but Kredo’s profound musical background makes this extraordinary task seem like an effortless accomplishment for the Agony EP.

Seven Lions - “Polarize” EP (Viper Recordings)

Article by Mitchell Buchanan

I’ve always liked toying with the idea that we are not alone in the universe. Some of the music I review for Dubstep.NET suggests that there are producers who are already likely to have been in contact with extraterrestrial life forms, and are currently in the process of making music to communicate with them. Other producers create intricate soundscapes of vast alien worlds that sound far too real to be constructed solely from their imagination – perhaps they’re being guided by beings that are familiar with the planets residing in far-away space. Seven Lions, a producer from Santa Barbara, seems to have been graced with exactly these powers. “Polarize”, Seven Lions’ newest EP, was released on April 22nd through the prestigious Viper Recordings, and it features six new tracks that we are extremely excited to share with you. The “Polarize” EP uses music to explore and play with our emotions, it raises the bar for production quality, and it demonstrates without any doubt that Seven Lions is a force to be reckoned with in the EDM scene. Not only does each track create a profound emotional impact, they also open our eyes to the distinct possibility that there are forces greater than ourselves in the universe.

Datsik - “Vitamin D” LP (Dim Mak Records)

Datsik - "Vitamin D"

Article by Mitchell Buchanan

Being from Canada myself, I can say with certainty that we’ve had a pretty good run of musical talent over the years. Making a significant impacts across rock, jazz, and even pop – and with the explosion of bass music in recent years, it’s an honour to be able to say that we’ve got some pretty damn fine producers adding a Canadian touch to the music industry. I’m always proud to speak highly of Canadian musicians, and today is a day where I can do exactly that. On April 10, the Kelowna (BC) producer, Datsik, released a full-length album entitled “Vitamin D” through Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records. By the morning of April 11
th, “Vitamin D” had already shot to the Number 1 on Beatport’s Top Dubstep Releases chart – and almost a week later it’s still holding strong. “Vitamin D” is full of Datsik’s unique and easily identifiable sounds, and features an array of banging originals as well as some  incredibly tight, ground-breaking collaborations. If Dubstep is an essential part of your life, a little extra Vitamin D will certainly do you a world of good.

Karluv Klub - Warfield EP (Kannibalen Records)

electrodotnet:

Article by Mitch Buchanan

It’s pretty much inevitable that a zombie apocalypse (or Zompocalypse, as I like to call it) will sweep the world in the near future. In 2011, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (USA) even started a campaign promoting Zompocalypse awareness and how to prepare for the total destruction and chaos that it’ll wage. Up in Canada, we’ve got our own kind of preparedness. Montreal-based Kannibalen Records, known for their love of all things morbid, has taken on an expert in the Zompocalypse. Karluv Klub, who released his Warfield EP on April 10, believes the undead will begin to rise in Russia, and has created a soundtrack depicting his idea of what the uprising will sound like. Hailing from Montreal, Karluv Klub is a photographer by day and a brutal zombie killing machine by night. His insight into the dirty underground of post-apocalyptic worlds will be absolutely essential once the Zompocalypse spreads from Russia and affects the rest of the globe – and we couldn’t be more relieved to have our hands on a copy of his sonic survival guide.

Dubstep.Net Presents: Slightly Mad by Emptysight

Dubstep.NET Presents: Slighty Mad by Emptysight (2012 Rework)

DOWNLOAD: http://soundcloud.com/dubstep/slightly-mad-by-emptysight/download

Emptysight is an 18 year old producer from Paide, Estonia. With his unique production style and signature bass screams, he is absolutely the biggest thing to come out of his country since Raiden. Continuing to dissect sounds and integrate new methods of making music that will make you bang your head, Emptysight’s “Slighty Mad” is an absolutely banger you simply wont be able to resist. This re-work of his own track is the very definition of dubstep filth, a seriously heavy tune.
